COMPARE/CONTRAST
SAME or DIFFERENT Book
After listening to the two books make a SAME or Different Book.
Create a book that illustrates how the two stories are either alike (compare) or different (contrast). Follow these steps to make the book.

Materials: You will need...

Sheets of paper
-
Pencil
-
Markers
-
A straightedge (ruler or something you can trace against to get a straight line)
Procedure:
-
Divide the paper into halves across the middle of the paper (horizontally), labeling each half with one of the book titles.

Title the paper - COMPARE: Title (Chapter # and topic: setting, character, or event in a single chapter of each novel.)

Draw a picture of something that was the same in each of the stories and add a description under the picture.

Title the paper - CONTRAST: Title (Chapter # and topic: setting, character, or event in a single chapter of each novel.)

Draw a picture of something that is different in each of the stories and add a description under the picture.

Include as many pages as you like

You can create pages to COMPARE/CONTRAST characters, setting, or events to your life as well.
